Posted by admin in June 16th 2009

Hey Everybody,

Please take a moment to vote on my wife’s fantastic photographic image of the Italian coast.  She is in a competition to win an $1,000 scholarship for the picture for grad school.  You can vote below or click on the links to see how she’s doing.

My Favorite Photo (I’ve Ever Taken)
Brickfish

She already has over 200 views after posting the pic just over 12 hours ago.  People like it, apparently.  So, again, please vote and send it out to your friends to vote for us!

Thanks,

Travis

Why Does Social Media Matter?

Posted by admin in April 8th 2009

social_media_starfishNot necessarily because “everyone’s doing it.”  See, you thought that was going to be the no-brainer answer.

Social media matters because it’s the best way for most people to connect with each other.  If you are shy in person, you’re generally a bold titan online.  If you have trouble connecting and communicating with people, you generally become more adept at introducing your feelings while in the comfort of your own home.  If you can’t seem to find an old friend’s number, you can easily find their contact info on Facebook.  My wife and I invited a handful of our friends via Facebook (here come the “you insensitive, unthoughtful, cheapskate” comments) to our wedding.

Social media is one of the main ways we network today.  The long chats on cell phones have been replaced by wall postings about boyfriends, girlfriends, life, congratulations, “happy b-days,” etc.  Celebrity gossip in magazines has been replaced by celebrities letting the world know about their breakup via a “tweet.”  Also, breaking news is divulged on twitter as much now as on CNN.

It’s truly amazing that social media is starting to evolve into a system that you can basically run all your interests, relationships, schedules, iPhone apps, and life updates through.

So, when you mock your friend about being on twitter (like many of my friends are doing now, the same ones who were mocking me in 2005 when I got on Facebook, all of which have Facebook profiles now), understand that it matters not because he or she is jumping on the social media bandwagon, but because that person may desire the ability to relate to his or her long lost friend in a more honest and streamlined fashion, something he or she wouldn’t have been able to do by foregoing the opportunity to join one of the fastest growing networks on the internet.

This is the thing about social media, people of all personality types can connect, network and converse within a sphere of their own comfort level, that’s why social media matters!  People who have shining personalities, amazing experience and character, unknown inner beauty and integrity are given the opportunity to be themselves within the protection of their comfort zones.

By no means am I encouraging hermitism (I think I just made up a word, maybe it’ll go viral), what I am saying is that we have unlocked the opportunity to see the best in a lot of people who would have normally withdrawn themselves from our conversations based on the risk of the pain associated with relationships.  That’s why social media matters, and that’s why it’s so important to me!

The hidden and untapped potential in each of us needs to find the light of day, and if that means that you have to join twitter and grow your network to ensure the breaking of the proverbial social ice, by all means, join the community, we’re glad you’re here!

God bless,

Ok, so here is the second vid of our trip to Lake Tahoe.  This one has more to do with our adventure at the lake and the mountains as well as our encounter with birds and cowboys in the airport.  Enjoy!

God bless!

Carbon Copy Pro and Wealth Masters Event in Lake Tahoe

Posted by admin in March 31st 2009

A vid about my experience at a sweet Wealth Conference in Lake Tahoe, NV.  We learned how to succeed when the economy is bad … that helps considering the economy is BAD!

God bless,

What Bad Economy?

Posted by admin in March 27th 2009

I just got back from Lake Tahoe yesterday (well, technically today, at 2:00 a.m.) from our Wealth Masters Conference.  Let me tell you, we payed top dollar for this event and I was ready to rip someone a new one if it disappointed.

But, alas, to my surprise, it was worth every single penny.  What do you do in a recession when seemingly no one is making money?  You go find the experts who are!

I watched this organization, which I’ve been with for over half a year, give out thousands of dollars of gold coins to different consultants in the company and I couldn’t help but think how amazing this opportunity was.  I’m not talking about the chance to win gold, I’m talking about working for a company that is flourishing while most others are flailing.

Let me give you the main reasons why Wealth Masters International is such an effective organization (in my opinion):

1.  The top earners in the company treat everyone as if they’re more important than themselves.  This is huge in the world we live in today, where selfishness takes a front seat while humility finds itself in the trunk.

2.  The company gives real, decent, proven information about how you can grow wealthy when the mainstream media and other informational outlets (even our government) won’t tell us the truth about what’s going on in our society and with our economy.

3.  They care!  I spent 5 minutes with the CEO of this multi-million dollar company pouring my heart out about my personal situation to end the conversation with him offering his personal time and assistance in whatever way he could to help.

4.  They offer by far the most comprehensive, industrious, innovative and qualitative system in the internet marketing world.  In the four days I was there, I connected with over a hundred people, ranging from the age of 18 to 80, talking about how this organization had given them such extensive and quality training they couldn’t find anywhere else (and believe me, most of us at the conference had been searching a long time before coming across WMI).

5.  They’re consistent, honest, and they are growing rapidly in a time of economic crisis across the globe.

I thank God when I think about what this organization has offered me, not only the potential for incredible, stabilizing wealth in a bad, bad economy, but a solid base of intelligent, driven, caring, challenging and fun leaders who think more about others than they do themselves.

You want a winning organization to help you start your own business and build wealth the right way, you should contact me and I’ll tell you all about one!

God bless!

Grow Your Twitter Gathering Fast … I Think …

Posted by admin in February 12th 2009

tweetergetter1Ok, I’m just doing a test on this.  I found out from a friend how to “hypothetically” grow my Twitter following using an MLM style downline system.

I currently have 858 followers on Twitter, and this is supposed to jack up that number pretty good, so this is my test to see if this works.  See the message below and follow me on Twitter using this system and lets see how well we can do with this.

I will update periodically to let everyone know where I’m at, good luck!

If it bombs, I will ask forgiveness from all my followers!  Here goes …

“Hey check this out …

I just found this site that shows you a
way of getting 1000’s of new followers
on twitter, I just started using it
myself and its starting to work
already.

Thought it might interest you.”

UPDATE:  2 hours after posting, I’ve lost 1 follower … so far, not so good.

UPDATE #2:  Over a day after writing the article, I’m at 884 followers, which gives me 26 new followers since yesterday.  As I average about 12 new followers a day, I will attribute only 14 of these new followers to the system.  So, after 24 hours, 14 new followers.  More updates to come!

UPDATE #3:  Ok, obviously the service sucks, it’s been well over a week and I’ve really gotten only probably 10-20 new followers from the program.  I’m getting ready to do as promised, apologize on Twitter!
